Our services last about an hour and consist of singing, bible reading, prayer and a sermon. When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of our stewards who will give you the books we use, and a service sheet. The stewards will be happy to assist you if you have any questions.
Style of Worship
Our worship is God-centred and gospel driven. We sing the songs of the Bible (called Psalms) which are sung a capella and led by one singer who sets the pitch and tempo. We also sing Hymns which are accompanied by musical instruments – usually the piano or organ, and violin.
A crèche is available during the morning service for babies and toddlers who may not be able to stay in church for the whole service. We have a selection of toys and books and a rota of volunteers to look after the children so that parents can return to the service. All crèche volunteers are DBS checked.
We provide worksheets for school-aged children to complete during the service, and Sunday School classes meet immediately afterwards. We have three classes (infant, junior and senior) that are currently working through materials from Go Teach Publications. All teachers are DBS checked.
Tea & Coffee
We have tea and coffee available after the services – and sometimes we have cake! If you are visiting LCPC for the first time, or even just passing through London for the weekend, please stay behind to join us and get to know some of the congregation.
Once a month there is a lunch after the morning service where we always have more than enough food to share. It’s a great opportunity to spend more time with each other and get to know some new faces. Visitors are always welcome.
