Following our ladies’ dessert night a few weeks ago, it was the men’s turn for an evening out. A visit from the new Free Church of Scotland Mission Director, Rev David Meredith seemed like the perfect opportunity! So, on Saturday, several of the men met for dinner at Zizzi’s Italian before even more joined the group at the church for a seminar where David spoke on the subject of ‘Handling God’s Word.’ Having recently looked at reformed theology, it was helpful for everyone to learn more about reformed practice within the church.
On Sunday, David preached at our morning service before we had one of our monthly congregational lunches. As usual, there was food from all over the world, and plenty of it to go round. Having fed us all spiritually (and hopefully feeling quite well fed himself) it was time for David to head North again.
