As part of our recent communion weekend, we enjoyed an evening of musical entertainment, home baking, and speakers from London City Mission.
Cho and Yu-En (who has decided not to leave after all!) played piano and cello beautifully while people arrived and chatted over coffee and cake. First to speak was Iain MacDonald, a long standing member of LCPC who also happens to be the editor of Changing London – the LCM supporters magazine. Iain told us about what his work involves, some of the challenges, and also the things he loves about his job and the work of LCM in general.
After some more music and an opportunity for folk to top up their caffeine and calorie levels, we heard from Andrew Gordon – an LCM evangelist based in Kilburn in North West London. He gave a fascinating insight into his work and the wide variety of people he has contact with. He gave us points for prayer, reminded us that we’re all missionaries, and encouraged us to speak to the people we meet about Jesus.
