Christmas Events & Juliette’s Baptism

Christmas Events & Juliette’s Baptism

The Twenties & Thirties Christmas Party isn’t the only special event we’ve enjoyed at LCPC over the last few weeks. On Sunday 15th we held our Christmas Congregational Lunch where there was lots of fantastic food, and lots of lovely people to eat it!

That night at the evening service, we were pleased to welcome Rev David Miller from Cobham Presbyterian Church who preached and baptised baby Juliette – the daughter of our pastor, Andy and his wife Catherine.

On Saturday 21st, some fearless souls braved the wind and rain to sing carols and hand out flyers for our Christmas service the following day. After picking a spot close to the Barbican underground station, it actually stopped raining and we were able to sing until the cold eventually got the better of us. A well deserved trip to a nearby Pret a Manger for hot chocolate was definitely in order so everyone could warm up again!

On Sunday, despite a number of our own congregation being away for Christmas, we were blessed with good attendance and visitors from The Netherlands, Indonesia, Korea and the United States to name a few.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2 v 11.
