Covid-19 Response

Covid-19 Response

The office bearers at LCPC are seeking to keep abreast of the developing Coronavirus outbreak. We long to care for our church family in the best way possible at this time.

Presently there is no plan to cancel any Sunday services at LCPC. However, in keeping with denominational guidelines, the fellowship lunch scheduled for this LORD’s day (15th) will no longer be taking place, and other congregational gatherings may have to be canceled in the coming days.

Should you have recently returned from a badly affected area, been told to self-isolate, or even if you are feeling unwell, we would encourage you not to attend the services at LCPC this Sunday.

For those who do attend, we would ask that there be no handshaking. We would also recommend that all in the congregation follow the guidelines set out on the Public Health England website: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/public-health-england

If you are concerned about the COVID19 outbreak, please do not hesitate to contact the elders who will be happy to speak to you.

If you are struggling materially because of self-isolation or any other knock-on impact of the virus, please contact the deacons of the church who are ready to assist.

Lastly, we would encourage all the members of LCPC to join us in praying for our World at this time:

-Pray that Christians might walk through this situation in faith and not fear, remembering that God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.

-Pray for the health professionals working in increasingly difficult environments.

-Pray for those who have lost loved ones to this virus.

-Pray that this virus might soon be slowed and eradicated.

-Pray that this outbreak might result in Gospel-opportunities with friends and family and that God might use this to turn many hearts to Jesus, where true peace is found.

With love in Christ,

Rev Andy Pearson
