Recently our Women’s Worker, Marketa, organised a craft afternoon. Letitia tells us more about it:
On Saturday 14th April, some of the women gathered at Bethan’s house for an afternoon of craft with the younger girls of the church. The day offered the chance to catch-up, establish closer friendships, and get to know each other better.
The task was to fashion a notebook from an old cereal box. Using the boxes as covers, they were wrapped in decorative paper before pages were stitched inside to form a book. After everyone had finished their creations we enjoyed some treats whilst we heard a short talk from Marketa, taking its cue from 2 Corinthians 5 v14-21.
Just like our cereal boxes had been transformed from waste into useable, attractive objects, Marketa reminded us of the transforming power Christ can have in our own lives.
