Back in June, the women of LCPC had their annual dessert night and, once again, Margaret kindly hosted everyone in her flat for an evening of fellowship, puddings and cakes. As always it was a great opportunity to catch up with each other while enjoying delicious food.
This year, there was the opportunity to donate towards the work of Marsali Campbell who lives in Kampala, Uganda and serves with Africa Inland Mission. A long term friend of the congregation, Marsali worshipped at LCPC last year while she completed a Masters in Global Health. It was good for the group to hear about her return to work in Kampala, and have some up-to-date prayer points.
To conclude the evening, our former Women’s Worker, Marketa, spoke from James 1 about the need for us to to live out our faith with action, and not just words.
Thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to the evening. See you next year!
