On 18th May, several young people from various churches in, and around, London met at London City Presbyterian Church. Our Women’s Worker, Marketa, has written this report:
Recently we had our first joint 20s & 30s get together. We had forty people in total from LCPC, IPC Ealing, All Nations Ilford, New City IPC, Grove Chapel – and one or two other churches.
We enjoyed pizzas together and afterwards, Simon Arscott, minister of All Nations Ilford gave a talk on the topic of Why your Body Matters. We considered several Biblical passages including 1 Corinthians 6 where Simon emphasized that our bodies are not our own but belong to God. It was helpful to be reminded of the importance of our bodies, that God does have a purpose in giving them to us and to reflect on how we can use our bodies in God honoring ways.
We concluded our time together by singing a psalm. We all enjoyed having this time of fellowship with other believers in our age group and the opportunity to meet new friends.
The next Joint 20s & 30s meeting will be on 6th July at All Nations Ilford. Please get in touch for more information.
