As part of our recent communion weekend with visiting preacher Rev Paul Gibson (Knox Free Church, Perth), some of the men met for prayer together before enjoying dinner at Cafe Rouge near St Paul’s Cathedral.
A few weeks earlier, some of the women gathered together for an evening of coffee and cake, and hear from a visiting speaker – Rhona Matheson – who used to be a member of LCPC before moving to Scotland. Rhona spoke about the work of Blythswood Care and Women for Mission, and there was the opportunity to buy Christmas cards and recipe books that support the work of both organisations.
Evenings like these provide the opportunity for the congregation to get to know each other better and grow in love for one another. We look forward to more events in the new year!
