Festive Round Up

Festive Round Up

On Sunday 14th December we enjoyed our annual Christmas lunch after the morning service. In addition to buffet favourites such as sausage rolls, quiches, salads and crisps we enjoyed dishes from Brazil, South Korea, and The Netherlands too. Crackers, tinsel and beads strewn across the tables added a festive feel.

The following weekend, a few of us got together on a cold Saturday morning to sing carols outside Barbican tube station, and hand out flyers for our Christmas Service. Several passers by stopped to listen, and commented on how much they liked the noise we were making!

On the 21st, we were delighted to welcome several visitors to the Christmas service – at least one of whom came because they’d enjoyed the carols they’d heard the day before – and others who’d accepted invitations from friends and family. Please pray for those who visited our church that day – possibly hearing the gospel for the first time.

To end the year, a group of carnivores headed to Desejo Do Brazil on 30 December for an all-you-can-eat meat feast. It was a great evening, with great food and great company.
