On Saturday, the congregation had hoped to take advantage of London’s beautiful spring weather with an afternoon of football, rounders, and other games in North Greenwich. Unfortunately, heavy rain was forecast and when it started hail stoning, the decision was made to cancel the event.
Some of us took up the suggested alternative of meeting for indoor entertainment at The O2 instead. Considerable amounts of coffee, cake, cheeseburgers, and chips were consumed, and a trip to the cinema was included too. A great time was had by all!
As it happens, the weather forecast changed completely and the sun actually shone brightly all afternoon, but we all agreed it was still too cold and windy for sport. We hope to rearrange the football for a day when it’s more likely to be sunny AND warm…
